DUNLOP PRODUCES DUNDROD MAGIC
The McKinstry Ulster Grand Prix 2011 Official Review released on DVD
The McKinstry Ulster Grand Prix 2011 produced red hot racing from
start to finish, and now fans can relive all the vital highlights in the
official review, new on DVD from Duke.
Combining stunning trackside, aerial and on-bike footage with expert
commentary and interviews, the official review features the complete
story of a stunning day at Dundrod, and plenty of history-making
racing.
Damp conditions may have prevented the record-breaking laps
expected from the World’s Fastest Road Race, but that didn’t make
the racing any less exciting – and the official review features all six
races from the Superbike, Supersport, Superstock, 250cc and
SuperTwin classes.
Michael Dunlop arrived having never claimed an Ulster GP win, but
left as man of the meeting and three race victories to his name,
including a simply incredible battle with brother William to take the
flag by just 0.34secs in the first Supersport run, a feat he would
repeat in even more dominant style later on.
Guy Martin endured a frustrating opening to his Ulster GP, narrowly missing out in the Superstock and then
losing out to Bruce Anstey in the controversial opening Superbike race. However, a stunning second
Superbike ride ensured he ended his day on a high, to the disappointment of rival Keith Amor.
The result of the first Superbike race may have disappointed Martin, but it once again proved the Kiwi
Anstey, who overcame dismal qualifying to take victory by almost 5 seconds, remains one of the fastest
road racers in the business.
The combined 250cc/SuperTwin race also produced fireworks as veterans Ian Lougher and Ryan Farquhar
forced their way to the front, hotly pursued by hard-chargers like Wayne Hamilton, Lee Vernon and Denver
Robb.
The official DVD review is packed with all this action, plus Michael Dunlop’s guide to the Dundrod circuit.
It also includes complete on-board laps of the circuit with Cameron Donald and Ian Lougher as bonus
features.
Official Ulster Grand Prix 2011 Review is released 5 December 2011 on DVD, priced at £19.99 and will be
