Ballygowan Link Up With Pearson
The Ballygowan & District Road Racing Supporters Club along with Michael Pearson Racing, put the final touches to their 2010 partnership at the weekend, after both parties met at the official launch of their 2010 Irish and International Road Racing pairing, with Ballygowan rider Michael Pearson, eager to get going on his two Kawasaki machines, that he will contest both the Supersport 600 and Superbike Championships, in Ireland and further afield.
Speaking at the weekends Press launch, Michael discribed how he was excited about the new season ahead, and with the added support of the Ballygowan & District Road Racing Supporters Club, his plans for a full season are now all systems go.
Michael Pearson: "Everything has fallen into place quite nicely, and with the Ballygowan Club now onboard for 2010, I am now able to compete a full season on the Irish National Road Racing scene along with Scarborough, Horice, and the Southern 100. Both the bikes are ready to race, and weather permitting, we will have both down for the track day at Bishopscourt at the weekend, where I will get my first outing on both the machines. I am indebted to everyone who has helped me along this year, and there are just to many to mention, but most of all to Davy Greer of Carryduff Forklifts for providing me with the Supersport 600 Kawasaki, Ivan Morrell for the Superstock Kawasaki, and of course, the Ballygowan & District Road Racing Supporters Club. I feel that we have a good package this year, so hopefully I can mix it with the top guys in 2010".
Bobby Jackson (Ballygowan Club Chairman) "We are delighted to have Michael onboard in 2010, and I hope that it proves to be a long and successful partnership. In 2009, we employed William Dunlop as our rider, who produced amazing results on the PJ Flynn 250 Honda. Unfortunatly, with the demise of the two stroke class in 2010, we decided to go with a local view and Michael ticked all the right boxes. We will be giving our total support to Michael in 2010, as the club members decided not to support the MCUI Ulster Centre Supersport 600 Class in 2010 as we did last year, as it proved to be a fruitless partnership.
We sincerely wish Michael and is team every success in the days and months ahead".
Willis Marshall: (Team Manager) "This is great news for the Team to know that we will be recieving total support from the Ballygowan & District Road Racing Supporters Club. Michael is from Ballygowan so the whole package has a slight sweetness about it, and locally it is great for all his race fans. Michael and the Team have put together a very good package for 2010 with two very competitive machines which have been kindly supplied by Carryduff Forklifts and Ivan Morrell. Like the Ballygowan Club, Ivan Morrell is also a welcomed newcomer to the team, and his vast knowledge and experience will prove to be extremly valuable by Michael and the Team".ALLYGOWAN & DISTRICT RRSC UNDER STARTERS ORDERS WITH PEARSON
