‘Joey Dunlop – Remembered’
17th November 2011
A DVD has been produced by the same team from WALDOVISION LTD that made ‘Joey Dunlop – Remembered’ and ‘How the North West was Won’ for the BBC and includes all the extra good material we could not fit in our BBC production ‘Joey Dunlop – Remembered’ as well as some of the best stories from that programme.
As well as lots of new material and tributes from contributors including:
Linda Dunlop and family members, John McGuinness, Steve Parrish, Richard Nichols, Phillip McCallen, Eddie Laycock, Hector Neill, Barry Symmons and Brian Reid, the Dunlop Family have raided the family archive to find new pictures of Joey and the family never shown before even on the Joey website.
In addition we have looked in our film archive for more racing footage of Joey including the NW200 ,Ulster Grand Prix and races in Southern Ireland.
There are interviews with Joey never shown before and also a visit to the Kushitani factory in Japan where his leather patterns are still kept.
Also among the new material is exclusive footage from the Joey Thanksgiving Service held in the Garryduff Presbyterian Church.
From the personal photographs of Derek McIntyre (former Motorcycle News Photographer) are exclusive pictures of Joey on the continent at work and play!.
Presented and Narrated by Stephen Watson and endorsed by the Dunlop Family as the only official DVD of Joey’s life, the DVD will be on sale from early December from the Official Joey Dunlop website. It will also be on sale from Joey’s Bar and other outlets. Makes an ideal Christmas present!
The programme runs for nearly an hour and a half and is a must for all Joey fans.
