Annual Across Ireland Motorcycle Run 2011

Dear Friends,
The Annual Across Ireland motorcycle fun run is now in its 12th Year, and since its foundation we have helped to raise substantial funds for many Irish charities. Despite the poor economic climate and the financial difficulties many of Ireland citizens face today, Irelands motorcycling community continue to support our motorcycle fun run in great numbers, and for this we are very grateful.
This year Annual Across Ireland is delighted to announce that the funds raised on the 2011 event will be supporting Motorcycling Ireland and the M.C.U.I. Medical Team. Safety at all motorcycling events is paramount and we feel now is the time for us to give something back to the men and women who maintain the safety of both participants & spectators at motorcycling events across the country.
It is increasingly difficult to secure crew vehicles, ambulance and mobile paramedic support, etc. for motorcycling events. They offer their services and skills selflessly and without reward. Many of you will know that Ireland has a rich history of motorcycle racing and every weekend at motorcycle race meetings across the island of Ireland paramedics offer essential services to both racers and spectators alike. The equipment, medicines and vehicles they use are funded by both donations from the public and the rider’s medical levy.
The monies donated by you will be used to purchase safety & medical equipment to be deployed at all MCI events. It is our goal to help increase the level of safety at these MCI events by purchasing, funds permitting, Medical Vehicle, Air Barriers, Medical Equipment & Promoting Training Days.

We ask Participants to kindly return all sponsorship cards prior to the event on 27thAugust.
